A woman suffered minor injuries after her car was in collision with a cow.

The driver hit the stray animal while driving her Audi near Croydon at 7pm last night.

Police said they were called to a cow ‘on the loose’ in Farthing Down but were unable to find it.

A spokesman said there was a ‘female driver with minor injuries and a cow still on the loose’.

They conducted a search of the area to check on the cow’s welfare but they could not find it.
