His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, President of Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council, in a sabda reminded the selected athletes in the 32nd Southeast Asia, SEA Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia to carry out the trust that has been given as national athletes who have been selected to make the name of the country proud by focusing on the competition and presenting a fighting spirit that never gives up until the end of the competition.
In a sabda during the Flag Presentation Ceremony to the national contingent to the Games yesterday afternoon, His Royal Highness also reminded that participating in the Games is a trust that should be accepted as a challenge to not just compete without heeding the ultimate goal of raising the country's name by winning medals. The ceremony took place at the Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.
Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohammad, Minister of Culture, youth and Sports. His Royal Highness in a sabda reminded that discipline as a national athlete is a responsibility and should be internalised as a Bruneian who is full of polite customs and culture. His Royal Highness handed over the national flag to Dayang Zainab binti Haji Morshidi, Acting Director of Youth and Sports Development as Chef De Mission. The 100-strong Brunei Darussalam contingent comprises 65 athletes and 35 officers.
