​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam left for London, United Kingdom to attend the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles the Third, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; and Her Majesty Camilla the Queen Consort, which will be held on 6th May 2023. Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

Prior to leaving Istana Nurul Iman, Doa Selamat was recited by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.

Present at His Majesty the Sultan's Flight Hangar in Rimba to bid farewell to His Majesty were members of the Royal Family. Also present at His Majesty the Sultan's Flight Hangar to bid farewell to His Majesty were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-Pengiran Cheteria; the Special Advisor to His Majesty; Members of the Privy Council; Cabinet Ministers; Deputy Ministers; the Commissioner of Police, the Royal Brunei Police Force and the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
