His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam arrived in London, United Kingdom, 5th May. Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

Upon arrival at London Stansted Airport, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was welcomed by Glenn Mayes DL, Deputy Lieutenant of Essex as Personal Representative of His Majesty King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; and Michael John Holloway OBE, Special Representative of the Foreign Secretary. Also present to greet His Majesty was His Excellency Retired First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to the United Kingdom and Eire.

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is in London at the invitation of His Majesty King Charles the Third, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to attend the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles the Third, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; and Her Majesty Camilla the Queen Consort.
