We will no longer have to lay awake at night imagining what’s inside a rattlesnake’s tail.
A father and son team have cut one open to show us.
We know it’s a bit extreme but it turns out there isn’t actually anything there.
Daniel Markham and son Lincoln found that out on a video on their ‘What’s Inside?’ YouTube channel.
This disappointed many who probably expected them to find some skittles.
The rattling sound actually occurs when two keratin layers slam against each other at the tip of the tail.
This is meant to scare off any predators.
And if you’re wondering where they purchased the dead rattlesnake, it was from eBay.
