​His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab-Rahaman graced the Brunei Darussalam Primary School Swimming Festival 2023. Also present were His Royal Highness the Crown Prince's children, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim; Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah; Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman; and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Faathimah Az-Zahraa' Raihaanul Bolkiah. The festival was held at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Swimming Pool Complex in Berakas.

 

Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman competed in 7 swimming events. In the 50-metre breast stroke, Yang Teramat Mulia won the bronze medal, recording a time of 1 minute 25 seconds. The festival that was held for the very first time was opened to primary school students aged between 7 to 11, and 151 students from 12 government as well as private schools competed in the festival.

 

Prizes were presented by Awang Julaihi bin Mohamad, Acting Director of Co-Curriculum Education, Department of Co-Curriculum Education. The festival was co-organised by the Ministry of Education through the Physical and Recreation Division, Department of Co-Curriculum Education, and the Brunei Amateur Swimming Association.
