Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Mr Bosengkham Vongdara on Wednesday received a Russian Folksong Troupe led by Mr Dmitry Dmitrienko on the occasion of their visit to Laos to take part in the recently held Russian Culture Week in Vientiane on October 25-26.

At the talk held at the ministry in Vientiane, Minister Bosengkham offered a warm welcome to the guests and praised their visit as a significant contribution to enhancing and strengthening the friendly relations and cooperation between the Lao PDR and the Federation of Russia, especially between the two information ministries of the two countries.

Russian Culture Week aimed to promote the exchange of culture between the two countries and between ASEAN member states and Russia.

Mr Dmitrienko thanked Minister Bosengkham for his warm welcome and informed him about the activities they have taken part in during their visit to Laos.
