Various equipment and military capabilities from RBAF Units were showcased at the Static Display held in conjunction with the 62nd RBAF Anniversary celebration. His Majesty took a closer look at the Static Display located at Military Apron Hangar 'B', Royal Brunei Air Force. His Majesty also commissioned the Fleet Tactical Aircraft Squadron, Royal Brunei Navy. Accompanying His Majesty was His Majesty's sons; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; and His Royal Highness 920 Major Udara Prince 'Abdul Mateen.
His Majesty first witnessed a live static airborne demonstration performed by 31 personnel from the 31st Squadron Royal Brunei Air Force and the Special Forces Regiment.
At the Static Display, the Directorate of Development and Works Services, Ministry of Defence showcased the infrastructure plan under the 11th and 12th National Development Plans.
His Majesty then commissioned the Fleet Tactical Aircraft Squadron, Royal Brunei Navy. His Majesty was briefed on the Unmanned Underwater Vehicle. The APACHE-3 Unmanned Surface Vessel and e-bike was also showcased by the Royal Brunei Land Force.
The celebration was also enlivened with the Military Aircraft Display, featuring aircraft from the Royal Brunei Air Force along with military aircraft from the Republic of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Republic of Philippines, Australia, the United Kingdom, Republic of Singapore and the United States.
The latest technology can assist the RBAF in the efforts to expand its capabilities and strengthen the nation's defence.
The Defence Industry Static Display involved companies from international defence industries.
