His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam arrived in Canberra last night. Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen. Upon arrival at Fairbairn Airbase, His Majesty was was welcomed by Mr. Paul Singer MVO, representative of His Excellency Governor-General of Australia; The Honourable Kristy McBain, representative of The Honourable Prime Minister of Australia; and His Excellency Luke Arnold, High Commissioner of Australia to Brunei Darussalam.

Also present to greet His Majesty on arrival were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Garry Ramlee bin Ibrahim, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Australia.
