His Majesty then proceeded to attend a Meeting with The Honourable Anthony Albanese Prime Minister of Australia, which was held at The Lodge.

Prior to the Meeting, His Majesty signed the Joint Declaration on the Comprehensive Partnership between the Government of Brunei Darussalam and the Commonwealth of Australia with The Honourable Prime Minister of Australia, who represents the Government of Australia.

During the Meeting, His Majesty and The Prime Minister of Australia discussed on bilateral matters of mutual importance to both countries including exploration in new areas of cooperation such as cybersecurity, climate change and food security. The Joint Declaration will formalise the elevation of ties between Brunei Darussalam and Australia to a Comprehensive Partnership. Both sides will develop a Plan of Action to chart a future strategic direction of ties in the coming years.
