(KPL) A ceremony was held on Jun 19 in Xaythany district, Vientiane for the handover of a relief warehouse to the Lao Red Cross Society.

The handover took place between Secretary General of the Thai Red Cross Society Tej Bunnag and President of the Lao Red Cross Society Mr Phouthone Muangpak in the presence of relevant officials of both sides.

The warehouse was built between Sep 2022 and May 2023 with a financial grant of over 8.34 million THB (over 239,400 USD) from the Thai Red Cross Society. It is 10 m wide, 30 m long, and 5.85 m high.

The warehouse will be used to keep relief items for emergency needs.
