Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari will be retained as Selangor Mentri Besar if the unity government wins in next month's state election.

The impromptu announcement was made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the state level Agro Madani event here Tuesday (July 18).

"This is the first time I am announcing this," said Anwar in his speech.

He said Amirudin was being retained due to his capability of managing the state well.

Anwar added that Selangor has managed to pull in a lot of investments under Amiruddin's stewardship.
