​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan And Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam, graced a Banquet in conjunction with His Majesty's 77th birthday celebration. The ceremony held at Istana Nurul Iman was for security and uniformed officers as well as uniformed public organisations.

Also present were His Majesty's sons and daughter as well as brothers and sisters:

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah;

- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen;

- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Wakeel;

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Bini Hajah Faizah;

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah;

- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah;

- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna;

- And Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam as well as other members of the Royal Family.

Doa selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.

The Banquet was attended by more than two thousand security and uniformed officers as well as uniformed public organisations.

His Majesty mingled and received junjung ziarah from the personnel attending the banquet, starting with the officers and personnel of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF.

Accompanying His Majesty were:

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince;

- And His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

Upon reaching its 62nd anniversary, RBAF has gone through various experiences and developments in implementing initiatives to continue progressing towards excellence.

As a law enforcement agency, the Royal Brunei Police Force strives to enhance quality security services, in line with the development and passage of time.

Integrated cooperation between uniformed government officers and staff is important in dealing with various security and emergency scenarios that require a strategic and integrated response.

Youth involvement in national development shows proud achievements at the national, regional and international levels.

The youth is also able to trigger changes in economic recovery and development efforts to support the implementation of the National Youth Policy and Strategy.

Several new curricula that focus on public defence in the National Service Programme, PKBN are intended to help in dealing with any natural disaster.

The close cooperation with the Royal Gurkha Rifles reflects a policy of goodwill and respect with foreign countries.

The Banquet is a significant appreciation for members of the workforce who play a role in maintaining the safety, security and well-being of the country.
