Get-Together Ceremony With Citizens And Residents

​The 22nd of July, 2023, became a historic moment for the citizens and residents of Belait District when His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam graced the Get-Together Ceremony with the Citizens and Residents in the district in conjunction with His Majesty's 77th Birthday Celebration. Belait District was the first district to receive His Majesty's presence for the ceremony this year, carrying the theme, 'Raja Untuk Rakyat, Rakyat Untuk Raja'. The ceremony was held that morning at Padang Bandaran, Jalan Sultan, Kuala Belait. Hundreds of students lined up along the road to Padang Bandaran to welcome His Majesty.

 

Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs as the Chairman of the 77th Royal Birthday Celebration's National Committee.

 

Accompanying His Majesty were His Majesty's sons and brothers;

 

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office;

 

- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen;

 

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah;

 

- And His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.

 

With the theme, 'Raja Berdaulat, Berjiwa Rakyat', the special performance portrayed His Majesty as a Monarch who is attentive towards the welfare and well-being of the citizens. Over 300 participants were involved.

 

The culmination of the special performance proves the citizens' love and loyalty towards His Majesty.

 

Prior to leaving for the Get-Together ceremony with the citizens and residents in Belait District, His Majesty mingled with the special performance participants.
