​Thousands of citizens and residents in Brunei Muara District gathered in the capital to welcome His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for the Get-Together Ceremony with citizens and residents in Brunei Muara District in conjunction with His Majesty's 77th Birthday celebration. Brunei Muara was the final district to welcome His Majesty for the much awaited event this year. It took place at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien. School students waving miniature flags to welcome His Majesty further enlivened the atmosphere.

Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs as the Chairman of the 77th Royal Birthday Celebration's National Committee.

Also in attendance were His Majesty's sons and brother,

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office;

- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik;

- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen;

- And His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah.

The traditional pop special performance themed "Raja Pengasih Rakyat Bahagia" expressed the sovereignty and authority of the Monarch as a reflection of the citizen's well-being towards progress. The culmination of the special performance portrayed the people's gratitude for His Majesty's presence to the Get-Together ceremony. Before the Get-Together Ceremony with the citizens and residents in Brunei Muara District, His Majesty mingled with the performers.
