​His Royal Highness Prince Doctor Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office in a sabda urged graduands and students, including graduates of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Qur'an Institute to always protect Al-Quran memorisation and internalise its contents that are in the form of lessons and examples, as per the aspiration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of  Brunei Darussalam, which is the building of strong faith directed towards producing a faithful and pious society. His Royal Highness made the sabda during the 11th Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Qur'an Institute Haflut Takharruj, 12th August morning. The ceremony took place at the International Convention Centre in Berakas. Also in attendance was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs; as well as the ceremony's Executive Committe members.

The recitation of Surah As-Shams was presented by Awang Fuad Hilmi Bin Razali, while the interpretation was read by Awang Muhammad Nur Nasrullah bin Abdullah Abdul Razak.

In his welcoming speech, the Minister of Religious Affairs among other matters shared that the 11th Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Qur'an Institute Haflut Takharruj was also in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of the institute's establishment. The institute's most significant development was that in less than 20 years after its establishment, it has enhanced its level of studies to the higher national diploma, HND level with the introduction of the 'Aliyah Qira'at Diploma.

In the sabda, His Royal Highness underscored that certain initiatives towards collaborative efforts to empower Al-Qur'an studies through social media, will be able to attract the interest of everyone regardless of age.

His Royal Highness in the sabda congratulated the successful graduates, as well as their parents, guardians and families.

Muslims are called to strengthen the culture of reading Al-Qur'an, was among the matters touched upon in the special religious talk titled “Menghayati Al-Qur'an dalam kehidupan" delivered by Awang Mohammad Nasyith bin Superi.

His Royal Highness then presented the Aaliyah Qiraat Diploma Syahadah to the 28 graduates. 15 received the Mumtaz or Excellent Grades; 10 received Jayyid Jiddan or Very Good grades; 1 received Jayyid or Good grades and 2 received Maqbul or Pass grades.

Doa Selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Awang Haji Salim bin Haji Besar.

The Sultan Haji Hassanl Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Qur'an Institute has produced over six hundred students who have completed the memorisation of 30 juzuk or chapters of al-Qur'an.
