​His Royal Highness Prince Doctor Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office as Pro-Chancellor of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA, officiated UNISSA's 13th Mahrajan Hafl Al-Takharruj or Convocation Festival, 22nd August morning. With the theme 'Transformasi Masa Depan Pertanian Moden and; Sekuriti Makanan Halal: Menguasai Horizon Baharu', the festival was held at UNISSA's Sinaut Campus, in Tutong District. Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd. Salleh, Minister of Education as Chairman of the UNISSA Council; Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minsiter of Religious Affairs as Deputy Chairman of the UNISSA Council; and Doctor Awang Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of UNISSA as Chairman of UNISSA's 13th Mahrajan Hafl Al-Takharruj Executive Committee.

The reading of Surah Al-Fatihah and doa was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.

His Royal Highness viewed an exhibition and took a closer look at the laboratory research conducted by undergraduates of the Faculty of Agriculture and Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre. His Royal Highness planted a 'Pokok Doa' and watched the the release of freshwater fish activity.

The Herb House features 94 collections of herbal plants, presented by the UNISSA Faculty of Agriculture. Also held was an exhibition on the concept of 'urban farming' and modern plant techniques, as well as vertical farming systems. The Halal Innovation Research Exhibition showcased the research conducted by several students from the Thayyiban Halal Research Centre.

The Mahrajan Haflut Takharruj is held to enliven the UNISSA's Haflut Takharruj that will take place on this 30th of August.
