His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, arrived in Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia to attend the 43rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits that will be held on 5th to 7th September 2023. Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

 Upon arrival at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, His Majesty was welcomed by Yang Terhormat Budi Arie Setiadi, Minister of Communication and Information, Republic of Indonesia. Also present to greet His Majesty were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Dayang Yuhanizah binti Dato Paduka Dr. Haji Ismail, Chargé d'Affaires at the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in the Republic of Indonesia. The ASEAN Summit, chaired by the Republic of Indonesia, will gather ASEAN Heads of State and Government and dialogue partners to advance discussions on the development of ASEAN and the strengthening of cooperation with dialogue partners including focusing on issues of mutual importance to the region.
