His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Saadul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah stresses that the increasing number of household complaints, cannot be taken lightly, apart from requiring efforts to overcome it. Thus, His Majesty believes, relevant parties need to be more proactive in taking the initiative to address household issues, as it can affect not only family harmony but also the country's well-being. His Majesty stresses the matter in the Titah in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul Shallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam celebration for 1445 Hijrah / 2023 broadcast nationwide through Radio Television Brunei. In the titah, His Majesty says that it has become a tradition in Brunei Darussalam, for the month of Rabi'ulawal to be enlivened with selawat and praises to Prophet Muhammad Shallallalahu 'Alaihi Wasallam in religious ceremonies such as at mosques, surau and religious halls. All these, His Majesty says, is non other than an expression of love to the Prophet Shallallalahu 'Alaihi Wasallam. However, expressions of love is not enough without being accompanied by the act of obeying orders and abandoning prohibitions.
In the titah, His Majesty states that speaking of family, means it refers to a vital group in the community.
His Majesty in the titah, takes note of the implementation of various methods and approaches to tackle the increase in cases of household complaints.
His Majesty's titah also relates the important role of parents in educating children.
His Majesty ended the titah by inviting the Muslim ummah to resolve to make the family institution according to the mould of the Prophet Shallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam's family.
