President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte join Filipino artists on stage as they serenade teachers during the third Konsyerto sa Palasyo in Malacañan on Oct. 1, 2023. (Malacañang photo)

Marcos said this after he hosted the third installment of the Konsyerto sa Palasyo for teachers in Malacañan on Sunday evening, Oct. 1.

In a Facebook post, the President thanked the teachers for their sacrifices and vowed to improve their conditions.

"As we thank you for all that you do, we also continue to work harder to improve your lives," he wrote on Monday, Oct. 2.

"The Marcos-Duterte administration will remain hard at work in addressing the needs of our schools, our teachers, and our students," he added.

Powerhouse vocalists and other performers took the stage to serenade the teachers during the concert, which Malacañan said was their tribute to them for Teachers' Month.

The month-long celebration was established by Proclamation No. 242, issued during the time of the late former president Benigno Aquino III in 2011.

The celebration, which runs from Sept. 5 to Oct. 5, aims to promote awareness and support for World Teachers' Day on Oct. 5 of each year.

The third Konsyerto sa Palasyo comes almost two months after the second concert on Aug. 6. It was dedicated to Filipino athletes.

In April, the President hosted the "Konsyerto sa Palasyo: Awit ng Magiting" for the personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and their families.
