Failure to Comply With Halal Certificate and Halal Label Order

The registered halal supervisors are reminded to always be attentive, carry out the trust properly and ensure all food that are prepared in the premise are halal and clean according to Syara'.

 

The reminder was issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs following an Indonesian supervisor is pleaded guilty for an offence under Halal Certificates and Halal Labels Order 2005.

 

Rohmah was pleaded guilty for failing to ensure the halal status of 6 point 2 kilogrammes of chicken wings for the restaurant on the 12th of December 2022. A Halal Supervisor at Zyar Restaurant located at the Jerudong Park Food Court Complex was fined 2 thousand 300 dollars or 2 months imprisonment in default by the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrates Court on 8th of November.
