A McDonald’s customer found himself a real-life ‘happy meal’ when he discovered a ‘smiling’ chip staring back at him in his fries.

Kevin Ferrari was left grinning ear-to-ear after noticing that one of his potatoes appeared to be as pleased as him when he delved into the savoury snack.

The civil servant told the Hull Daily Mail that he was tucking into his food over the weekend when he noticed the chipper chip.

He had picked up the portion of fries over the weekend at the Portway branch in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, on November 5.

Noticing the seemingly cheery potato, he took a quick picture and shared it on social media.

The 44-year-old soon racked up hundreds of likes on Facebook as people shared and commented on the post.

Kevin, who is from Milton Keynes, said: ‘Me and my girlfriend went to McDonald’s, we were just out and got a bit peckish.

‘I noticed the little face straight away. I got my phone and snapped it and before you know it was in my stomach.

‘You can see two eyes, and a cute little grin. It’s like a real-life Happy Meal.

‘I suppose I have some regrets over eating him but then again his whole purpose in life was to be eaten. He fulfilled his life purpose.’

Meanwhile McDonald’s has revealed the exact date the festive Christmas menu will be axed – and you don’t have long.

And a new kind of restaurant is also being opened by the business.
