Christmas is coming – and naturally, many youngsters will want to write a letter to Santa.

Despite St. Nick’s busy schedule during the festive period (making toys in his Lapland workshop, obviously), he does have a postal address UK children can reach out to.

Better still: sending your letter by Thursday, November 30 (via Royal Mail) will guarantee you a reply.

So, what is Santa Claus’s address – and what else do you need to know about writing him a letter?

Popular folklore suggests Santa Claus lives in either the North Pole or Finnish Lapland.

So don’t be fooled by this address’ UK postcode. It definitely goes to direct to the Arctic – so the man himself can mail a response.

What do you need to include in your 2023 Santa letter?

Don’t forget to stick a stamp on the envelope as you would with any normal card or letter.

You’ll need to include your return address, too – or else Santa won’t be able to send your child any Christmas wishes.

Then simply pop it in any Royal Mail postbox, and wait up to 10 days for a response.

As mentioned above: it must be sent by Thursday, November 30 this year. Or it won’t be received in time.

Parents: do note if you’re too late, as Royal Mail allows you to download (and print) Santa’s special card in English and in Welsh.

So while you won’t be able to get it through the post, you can say Santa dropped it through the door.

How can you get a personalised letter from Santa?

Children’s charity NSPCC offers a personalised Santa letter service, which is addressed directly to your child.

You choose the theme of the letter (from eight options) so it fits your child’s interests and Christmas list – and you can also add details of your child’s achievements.

In exchange, you’re asked to make a donation to the NSPCC’s work.

There are plenty of commercial operations offering similar services, too, including Official Santa Letters, Lapland Letters, Santa Letter Direct and Santa’s Post Office.
