​Having determination and ambitions is something that a person must have as it is a motivation and incentive for us to do something or work towards a better level. The matter was among the content of a Friday Sermon titled "Making Changes to Achieve Success." The sermon also underlined that we express gratitude to Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala for being able to be in the new year of 2024 in a peaceful and prosperous country. It is one of the blessings that cannot be evaluated by anything, such as the blessings of age, health, prosperity and many other forms of blessings that are solely the gift of Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala.

The prayer leader said that we as the citizens and residents of this blessed land of Darussalam, are obliged to be grateful and continuously supplicate to Allah SWT so that this blessing of peace and well-being will always last by increasing the recitation of zikir, carrying out all His commands and avoiding all His prohibitions. The presence of new year is a very suitable time for all of us to make changes. We live in this world is to achieve success and happiness in this world and in the hereafter. Hence, to achieve success and happiness, we must be brave to make changes in life. Change is a migration or transition that is making a change from good to better. To make those changes, it depends on ourselves, in other words we do not have to wait for others to change us.
