MANILA

The Manila Bulletin and columnist Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo are launching the new opinion podcast, Night Owl, in Spotify. It will be available in at least 20 streaming platforms.

This is the first podcast for Manila Bulletin, one of the Philippines’ oldest national broadsheet at 124 years.

Lamentillo, who maintains the Night Owl column in the Op-Ed section of Manila Bulletin, said that the podcast will talk about a wide range of subjects, including artificial intelligence (AI) apocalypse, walkable cities, intermodal transportation network, law and environment, among others.

“We started with a column, turned it into a book, and now Night Owl is also a podcast. We want to be present in different platforms to be able to maximize our reach. The Night Owl podcast will start featuring stories about the Build Build Build, but that is just the take-off point. We will be discussing many other subjects that are relevant to our society today,” said the former Chairperson of the Build Build Build Committee of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

“I thank the Manila Bulletin for its strong support to showcase Night Owl in various communication platforms. This is proof that while it is one of the oldest newspapers in the country, it can keep up with the times,” Lamentillo added.

The Night Owl podcast will also be available in the following streaming platforms: Spotify, Apple Podcast,  Google Podcast, Podcast Index, Deezer, Podcast Addict, Player FM, Castro, Castbox, Podfriend, Goodpods, Overcast, Amazon Music, IHeart Radio, Pocket Casts, Listen Notes, Podchaser, Audible, Feature.FM, and Soundcloud.
