Year 11 students of the Sultan Omar 'Ali Saifuddien (SOAS) College were celebrated yesterday after completing 30 Juzuks (Chapters) of the Al-Quran in a ceremony that took place at the college's auditorium.

The event's guest of honour was Pengiran Haji Md Hafizuddin @ Pengiran Haji Mokti bin Pengiran Haji Bakar, Chairman of the SOAS College Parent-Teacher Association.

The event began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the chairman, followed by a recitation of Takhtim as well as a recitation of verses from the Al-Quran by the Khatam participants.

The celebration then continued with a reading of Doa Khatam by a representative of the participants.
To further enliven the event, a Dikir Marhaban performance was also staged, followed by a sprinkling of scented flowers as well as the presentation of certificates to the Khatam participants by the guest of honour.

The event concluded with a recitation of Doa Selamat.
