Muslims are reminded to safeguard the sanctity of Aidilfitri by not mixing good deeds with matters that are forbidden while celebrating the festive season. In an interview with RTB, an Assistant Lecturer from the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB highlighted a number of matters that are against Syara' and the Sunnah of Rasulullah SAW while celebrating Hari Raya.

Awang Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ajak said one must correct their intent of visiting, which is to strengthen relations regardless of status. Others include wearing clothes that conforms to Islam, and safeguard one's prayer during Hari Raya.
