The Embassy of the United States of America in Brunei Darussalam and The Children's Cancer Foundation, YASKA held a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, 19th April 2024. The celebration at the Peak Club in Berakas also coincided with the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United States of America and Brunei Darussalam.

In attendance was Her Excellency Caryn McClelland, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Brunei Darussalam. The event sought to uplift young cancer survivors by through fun and physical activity, while simultaneously providing an opportunity for community engagement and service for United States embassy staff. This year marks 40 years since the United States established diplomatic relations with Brunei. Since then, both countries have enjoyed a long lasting and prosperous friendship through the Treaty of Peace, Friendship, Commerce and Navigation.
