With the aim of enhancing cooperation in both education and academic research, SEAMEO Voctech yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State University of Malang, Indonesia.

The scope of this MoU covers exploring potential for joint research, exhibitions, conferences and lectures in TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training); exchange of data, documentation and research materials; and academic mobility, such as expert exchange.

SEAMEOVoctechwas represented by its Acting Director, Hajah Noorzainab binti Haji Abdulladi, while the State University of Malang was represented by Dr H Ahmad Dardiri, M Pd, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.

A discussion was also held between both institutions prior to the signing ceremony, including a briefing on current developments of TVET in the region.
