The World Book Day 2024 celebration can empower reading culture and emphasise the importance of reading a knowledge bridge to society at all levels. The function organised by the Language and Literature Bureau took place on 23rd April morning. Present was Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The celebration was enlivened with a motivational talk titled "Seindah Bicara". The celebration aimed to encourage every organisation to be involved in providing a reading corner as part of efforts to encourage a reading culture and instil a love for knowledge. The Tutong District branch of the Language and Literature Bureau also held an activity in conjunction with the World Book Day celebration. The activity included a 10 minute book reading session, a live online Motivational Talk programme “Seindah Bicara" and a story-telling session by students from selected schools.
