The Semarak Hari Kebangsaan Photography Competition with the theme '40 Tahun Negara Merdeka', among others aimed to instil patriotism and nationalism within the community. A Prize presentation ceremony for the winners was held on 25th April morning, at the Language and Literature Bureau.

Prizes were presented by Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Isa bin Pengiran Haji Aliuddin, a Member of the Legislative Council. Held in conjunction with the 40th National Day, the competition was organised by the Language and Literature Bureau, through the Research, Documentation and Accreditation Division.
