​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam will pay an Official Visit to the Kingdom of Thailand on 28th to 29th April 2024 upon the invitation of His Excellency Srettha Thavisin, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand. While in Bangkok, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is to attend a Bilateral Meeting with His Excellency the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand.

2024 marks the 40th anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Brunei Darussalam and Thailand since it was established on 1st January 1984. The Official Visit will also provide an opportunity for both countries to discuss bilateral as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest. His Majesty last visited Bangkok in November 2022 for the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, AELM. In addition, His Majesty also previously made two State Visits to the Kingdom of Thailand in 1988 and 2002, as well as an Official Visit in 2012.
