In conjunction with the 63rd anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF, the Ministry of Defence organised the reading of Surah Yasin and Tahlil for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit, and Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji 'Abdul 'Azim. The ceremony was held on 10th May morning, at the Royal Mausoleum.

Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. The 63rd anniversary of RBAF will be celebrated on the 1st of June 2024.
