The residents of Kampong Ayer were shocked by a fire which broke out in Kampung Setia 'B', 11th May morning. In the incident at about 6.30 in the morning, nine houses were gutted in the fire.

The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at about 6.46 in the morning. Upon receiving the call, 28 personnel from Pelancaran Fire Station, Bandar Seri Begawan Fire Station and Sungai Kebun Fire Station were deployed. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
