​The Language and Literature Bureau as the Secretariat of the Southeast Asian Literary Council, Mastera Brunei Darussalam held the Secretariat Meeting or Musyawarah Mastera 2024. The opening ceremony of the two-day meeting took place on 20th May morning, at a hotel in Kiulap.

 

It was opened by Dayang Hajah Haireni binti Haji Awang Damit, Acting Director of Language and Literature Bureau as Acting Chairperson of Mastera Brunei Darussalam. The meeting discusses and coordinates Mastera programmes and projects as well as acting as preparation for the 28th Mastera Session in the country in October. The meeting is also a literary collaboration project at the Mastera regional level which is made up of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
