His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah expresses Brunei Darussalam's commitment to further developing the enduring relations with the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste. Furthermore, Brunei Darussalam values the friendship with the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste and looks forward to working together to protect and safeguard both countries' common interests. His Majesty made the titah during the State Luncheon hosted by His Excellency Dr. José Ramos-Horta, President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in conjunction with the State Visit of His Majesty. His Majesty arrived in Dili, 20th May morning.

Upon arrival at Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport, His Majesty was greeted by His Excellency Dr. José Ramos-Horta, President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, His Excellency Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, Prime Minister of Timor-Leste; His Excellency Francisco Kalbuadi Lay, Vice Prime Minister and Minister Coordinator for Economic Affairs and Minister of Tourism and Environment as Minister-in-Attendance; His Excellency Mariano Sabino, Vice Prime Minister and Minister Coordinator for Rural Development and Community Housing; His Excellency Dr. Bendito dos Santos Freitas, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation; and His Excellency Abel Guterres, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to Brunei Darussalam.

Also present was His Excellency Wan Hadfi Lutfan bin Haji Abdul Latif, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste.
