​One thousand intending haj pilgrims from Brunei Darussalam will have the opportunity to become Allah's guests in Makkah and Madinah to perform haj and umrah. Prior to departure to the Holy Land, intending pilgrims must prepare themselves with knowledge, mental and physical endurance, as they will surely face trials and tribulations while performing haj and umrah. This was explained by Pengiran Haji Reduan bin Pengiran Haji Badaruddin, Religious Teacher of the Brunei Darussalam Haj Management Office.

He said that once pilgrims perform the haj, they will be tested in terms of health, travel and others. Hence they must learn to be patient and practice cleansing of the soul as well as self-reflection.
