BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

Academic award recipients from Year 7 to Year 10 as well as the BTEC and Pre-Vocational level students of the Berakas Secondary School (SMB) were feted yesterday for their academic achievements in a ceremony held at the school's Anggerek Hall.

Present as the guest of honour was the school's Principal, Cikgu Abdullah bin Ismail.

The event began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and the verses from the Al-Quran followed by a welcoming remark from the school principal.

In his remark, Cikgu Abdullah highlighted that the ceremony aimed to celebrate the awardees' achievements. He also hoped that the ceremony will encourage other students to improve their academic development and further their studies to a higher level.

The school's principal presented the awards to the students.

The ceremony was later enlivened with a Tausyeh and choir performance by the students and ended with the recitation of Doa Selamat.
