Maktab Duli Students Visited AMBD

 April 15th, 2016  |  08:00 AM  |   1400 views

COMMONWEALTH DRIVE, BRUNEI-MUARA

Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) recently hosted a visit for 30 students from Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College (Maktab Duli).

The students, who were accompanied by four teachers, visited the AMBD Currency Gallery and listened to a short briefing on the functions and responsibilities of AMBD.

As business stream students, they were very interested in monetary policies practised by central banks and monetary authorities around the world, and were curious about its effects to the market.

AMBD Currency Gallery was officially opened in 2006 and displays different currencies used in Brunei Darussalam since the 14th Century as well as Brunei Darussalam's commemorative notes and coins.

AMBD Currency Gallery is open from 8.30am to 12.00 noon and from 2pm to 4.30pm, except on Friday when it is open from 8.30am to 11.00am and from 3pm to 4pm.

The gallery also sells Brunei's commemorative notes and coins.
