His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, yesterday afternoon received Letters of Credence from 17 nonresident foreign envoys to the country, namely:

 

1.    Sylvestre Kouassi Bile, Ambassador of
the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire;
2.    Khaga Nath Adhikari, Ambassador of
Nepal.
3.    George Dogoritis, Ambassador of the
Republic of Hellenic (Greece);
4.    Ivan Hotek, Ambassador of the
Republic of Czech;
5.    Samkelisiwe Isabel Mhlanga, High
Commissioner of the Republic of South Africa;
6.    Abdulla Matar Khamis Al Mazrouei,
Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates;
7.    Issop Patel, High Commissioner of
the Republic of Mauritius;
8. Yazkuli Mammedov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan;
9.    Nimal    Weeraratne,    High
Commissioner of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka;
10. Walubita    Imakando,    High
Commissioner of the Republic of Zambia;
11. Abubacarr Jah, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Gambia;
12. Ronaldo Anibal Guevera Alvarado, Ambassador of the Republic of Panama;

Following the ceremony, His Majesty received in audience the four newly
appointed high commissioners and 13 newly-appointed Ambassadors.

 

 

Also present at the audience ceremony was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II.

 


The ceremony took place at the Istana Nurul Iman.
