The Employees Trust Fund (TAP) through its Corporate Communication Department held a financial planning talk for 600 Sayyidina Husain Secondary School students yesterday.

The activity is part of TAP's initiatives to increase awareness on the importance of financial planning and instill the habit of saving and prudent spending from an the early stage.

The students were briefed on the objectives of the TAP and SCP schemes as the savings for retirement.

They were then given the opportunity to keep records of their spending and saving transactions (withdrawal and deposit) in making financial choices; between needs and wants as well as to spend or to save.

At the end of the activity, students were able to look at the effects of their choices to their financial standing.

The financial planning activity was jointly held with Baiduri Bank Berhad Financial Planner Ampuan Noralrina Hamlah binti Ampuan Haji Mohammad (ChfC).
