Enraged Husband to Receive Charges

Abuse is any forms should not be accepted. This appalling behavior was conducted by 24 year old Muhammad Hafiz bin Mohamad Junaidi who attacked and assaulted his 23 year old wife who accused him of having an affair.
The accusation led to an argument which leads to a series of physical violence. The member of the uniformed services will learn his fate this Saturday, after he pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court yesterday to assaulting and blackmailing his wife.
The court heard how , 24, became enraged when his wife accused him of having an affair, leading to an argument between the couple in their bedroom at a house in Kampong Pekilong, Muara, which they shared other family members, at 3.20pm on October 1.
Muhammad Hafiz repeatedly slapped his 23-year-old wife, and hit her on the forehead with a parang knife. When she tried to escape, he pulled her hair and kicked her chest twice and continuously assaulted her with the parang and his bare hands.
The victim was subjected to more assaults when Muhammad Hafiz pushed her to the floor, and stamped on her head and stomach. He also took a heated clothes iron and pressed it on her thighs, feet and face.
He managed to stop when the other family members knocked on their door, hearing the victim's cries. She managed to escape when he answered the door. She reported the assault to the police and went to stay with her parents in Kuala Belait. She then received a message from her husband at 8pm on October 1, threatening to upload her nude photos and video onto Facebook if she did not withdraw the police report.
The nude pictures and video of the victim had been taken sometime in 2015.
The victim lodged another police report, which led to Muhammad. Haft's arrest by the Women and Children's Abuse Investigation Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid is considering a fitting punishment for each of the charges prepared by Deputy Public Prosecutor Zuraidah binti Sidek, which carry the maximum penalty of three years in prison or a fine, or both.
