Minister Attend 9th APUCEN Council Meeting

As the country's most significant asset, youths are key to its advancement and the fortifying of national solidarity, said Professor Datuk Dr Asma binti Ismail, the Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and the President of the Asia-Pacific University Community Engagement Network (APUCEN) yesterday, amid the ninth Regional APUCEN Council Meeting facilitated by the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB).
"They should be competetive, keeping in mind the end goal to meet the present difficulties of globalization, and must be more required in group exercises and volunteerism," she said in her opening remarks before the starting of a universal workshop on youth training and group benefit themed 'Belia Berwawasan Pemangkin Transformasi' (Visionary Youths: Catalyst for Transformation).

"As per the current year's topic, youth contribution - particularly those included in dynamic group benefit while still at school - ought to likewise be sustained," said Professor Datuk Asma.
"This is on the grounds that adolescents are considered as the principle main thrust behind a nation's prosperity, as far as economy, culture, training and religion.
"I trust that Bruneian youths every now and again get consideration for their critical part in forming the generation to come.
"This implies quality young people are equipped for producing and changing their ideal models and conduct."
Professor Datuk Dr Asma finished her speech by communicating trust that the course would rouse new assurance among the participants, to work for the positive improvement of their nation.
Three presentations were then conveyed by Professor Dato' Dr Omar bin Osman, the previous bad habit chancellor of USM and previous President of APUCEN; Professor Madya Dr Azman receptacle Abdul Rahman, an instructor of Islamic Studies at the Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM); and Dr Haji Adanan canister Haji Basar, the Acting Ra'es of KUPU SB.
The principle objective of the one-day course was to support and rouse the idea of group work among neighborhood young people, especially through exercises led by APUCEN.
