3 Cabinet Men, 22 Foreign Service Officials, One General Hurdle CA

MANILA

 

The Commission on Appointments (CA) yesterday confirmed the ad interim appointments of three of President Duterte’s Cabinet men and 22 diplomats.

 

The powerful appointments body approved in the plenary the ad interim appointments of Ismael DresSueno as secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Arthur Tugade as secretary of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), and Mark Villar as secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

 

The CA also approved the nomination of former Makati Rep. TeodoroLocsin Jr. as Permanent Representative of the Philippines to the United Nations in New York, with the salary and emoluments of a Chief of Mission, Class 1.

 

The 21 other Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) senior officials whose ad interim appointments were confirmed are:
