BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN
Fifty-eight reception students and eight staff of Jerudong International School ( JIS) visited the Royal Regalia Building located in Bandar Seri Begawan recently.
This trip enabled the reception students to practice their maths skills in counting, drawing shapes, identifying patterns and paying close attention to detail when drawing them.
Being physically outside the classroom teaches students the importance of social skills, language and communication skills. Students experience real life social situations through sharing, behaviour and helping others - important role in a child's development.
The Royal Regalia Building was established in 1992 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's rule of Brunei.
The building exhibits a large collection of artifacts used for royal ceremonies in the country.
