The caring Rajang Port Authority (RPA) has brought joy to 78 orphans from Methodist Children Home Sibu for a luncheon at SugarBun DriveThru in Oya Road here yesterday.

Upon their arrival at SugarBun, the orphans were welcomed with warmth from general manager Helen Lim Hui Shyan and her RPA staff.

“This event is under our corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme which is to share the joy of both Christmas and the coming New Year

2017 with all these lovely children from the Methodist Children’s Home Sibu,” she said at the event.

“This event is more than just a luncheon. It means so much for us (RPA) to be able to get together with them and to see them smiling and enjoying the meal.

“It’s really something to treasure. To see the happy faces of these orphans who are still very young is really touching,” she said.

Helen hoped the CSR get-together with the orphanage would make for fond memories.

The orphans later had great fun at the playground on the first floor of SugarBun DriveThru.

Deputy superintendent of Methodist Children Home Sibu, Lau Sie Tung, was also present.
