Sultan Send Message of Congratulation to Myanmar

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam sent a message of congratulations to U Htin Kyaw, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on the occasion of its 69th Independence Day.
In the message to U Htin Kyaw, His Majesty expressed his great satisfaction for the warm friendship and close cooperation between the two countries and people, and looked forward to future opportunities in strengthening these friendship and cooperation in the coming year.
In the message to Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, His Majesty looked forward to continue in enhancing the long-standing friendship and cooperation enjoyed by the two countries and people, both bilaterally as well as regional partners in Asean particularly in maintaining solidarity as Asean commemorates its 50th anniversary this year.
In ending the messages, His Majesty extended his kind regards and best wishes to U Htin Kyaw as well as Daw Aunt San Suu Kyi and for the continued progress and prosperity ofthe Republic of the Union of Myanmar and its people.
