An owl trained to deliver wedding rings as part of a fairy tale ceremony got a little confused and flew headfirst into a glass window.

The disoriented bird was released by its handler, soaring above the guests towards the double doors at the end of the church.

But unfortunately, it didn’t realise the transparent glass formed a barrier (we’ve all been there).

SMACK – it goes in at full speed and bumps its head rather badly.

As all the couple’s family and friends look on, the bird drops down and the video loses focus.

The awkward footage was shot in 2015, but went viral this week after being posted online.

It would never have happened to Hedwig.
