With the objective to create awareness on the importance of Waqaf (endowment) and to encourage its residents to practise and earn its benefit, students of Post-Graduate Diploma in Religious Education 2015/2016 session of the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) yesterday held the handover of Waqaf Tarbiyah ceremony.

Present as guest of honour at the ceremony was Dr. Haji Adanan bin Haji Besar, Acting Ra'es of KUPU SB.

In his speech, Dr. Haji Adanan commended the efforts that have been put in making the Waqaf Tarbiyah a success.

Meanwhile in welcoming remarks, Dayangku Norafidah binti Pengiran Mohd Shamri as the organising committee member, explained that the efforts also aimed to get the blessings from Allah the Almighty as the reward in the hereafter

The project that was dubbed as Co-Curriculum Project: Waqaf Tarbiyah 2016 has seen a success as the organising committee has received several items that can be used for the benefits of KUPU SB and its residents.

Among the items were two units of bench table, 24 boxes of books, three sets of books, 10 packs of a4 paper, 10 packs of HP Printer Inks, 40 units of whiteboard marker pen, three units of mini learning table, 20 sets of whiteboard eraser, eleven sets of slippers, two pieces of rehal, 15 sets of Tasbih (prayer beads), six pieces of telekong, one unit of digital wireless portable microphone, one set of professional wireless microphone system, three units of rechargeable portable wireless PA Amplifier, five units of standing fan, one unit laptop, one unit printer, three units projectors, two units of mini speaker, one unit of microwave and one unit refrigerator.

On hand to receive the endowment was Dr. Hajah Noor Hira binti Haji Noor Kaseh, Dean of the Faculty of Syariah in her capacity as the chairperson of the organising committee, KUPU SB.
