BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

The Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Arabic Religious Secondary School's (SUAMPRIPAD) new batch of Year 5 students commenced their new school year by attending a talk and registration that was held yesterday at the school's multipurpose hall.

The event opened with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Ustaz Mohammad Huzailan bin Haji Kassim, followed by remarks from Ustazah Pengiran Hajah Radiah binti Pengiran Haji Md Tahir.
In her remarks, Ustazah Pengiran Hajah Radiah highlighted the support of parents and guardians towards their children's learning and education as well as reminding the students to not only follow the school's rules and regulations but also to perform the five daily prayers.

Touching on the Brunei Vision 2035, she also said that one of the school's main goals is to produce well-educated and highly skilled citizens.

A Doa Selamat was afterwards recited to mark the end of the event, prior to the start of the students' registration in their respective classes. A total of 12 classrooms were allocated by the school to accommodate a total of 336 Year 5 students for the new academic year of 2017.

Among the objectives of yesterday's event were to introduce the administrative and academic system to the new students, as well as to expose and enable them to adapt to their new school environment.
At the same time, it also aimed to strengthen the relationships between the teachers with the children's parents and guardians.
